Soul Safaris Dolphin Experience ™

Somewhere along the endless miles of white powder sand beaches in southern Mozambique, a resident pod of over a hundred gentle and playful dolphins are waiting for you to join them for a day or two in paradise.

Light aircraft transfers throughout southern Africa while on safari make the Soul Safaris Dolphin experience an excellent add on to any Flying Safari itinerary. Located in a relatively close proximity to Kruger National Park in South Africa, vacationtechnician will create a Dolphin Experience for you with a minimum of 2 days 2 nights in your safari plan.

Soul Safaris Dolphin Experience™ combines a rare opportunity to swim in the ocean sans nets with wild and friendly dolphins and beach activities such as facilitated djembe drum circles, sound journeys, yoga, and art & dance playshops.

vacationtechnician sponsors fascinating facilitators to lead each Soul Safari; offering a fresh, ever evolving and dynamic experience for our international clientele. Soul Safaris include Reflexology & the Language of the Feet with Chris Stormer, Reiki and Meditation retreats with Keith McFarlane, The Transformation Game and Sandplay with Gillian Barton, Re-birthing & Fire purification with Hilde Light and more to come with renowned educators, authors and wonderful open minded people like you.

The activities are voluntary and everyone is free to do as much or as little as they wish. Between the playshops and courses, you have free time to soak in the sun, have a snooze, enjoy a massage, explore the village with newly found friends or get lost in a good book. Typical days begin with yoga or Tai Chi on the beach, followed by the dolphin launch for about 2-hours of incredible water time with our mammalian cousins.

A delicious and wholesome buffet brunch awaits you after your swim. The rest of the morning and mid-afternoon is at your leisure with a 2-3 hour facilitated event slotted during the afternoon.

The early evening activity before dinner, is orientated around music and takes place around a huge dancing fire in the middle of our central village space on the beach. Musical activities such as a drum circle, sound journey, voice orchestra to belly dancing. After dinner some participants feel the rhythm of Africa in their veins and find themselves dancing the night away!

A maximum of 12 clients on Soul Safaris™ ensures that the experience remains intimate and personal.

Did you know that our Dolphins possess a unique ability to trigger our healing and relaxation process? Just being in their presence seems to evoke a feeling of profound inner peace and joy. Often a fresh sense of life direction emerges in clients as transformation and healing begins to take place in the water.

Please note: the dolphins are not coaxed into playing, nor will they be herded or chased. Contact with these sentient beings although truely random is a consistent part of daily living along our special beach.

Clients often report a feeling of deep blissful relaxation. Perhaps a contributing factor, the dolphins emit high frequency sonar which we hear as a series of clicks and whistles. That sound travels 4.5 times faster through water than through air. Therefore the dolphin's ability to induce a euphoric state in us is most apparent when these sounds are transmitted to us through the water.

We have observed the various pods of Indian Bottlenose and Spinner dolphins over an extended period of time, and have identified the individuals by means of their unique dorsal fins. In addition, we are documenting all of the behaviour observed including feeding, basking, mating and socialising as well as the interaction with human beings.

ACCOMODATION & FACILITIES ON DOLPHIN PACKAGES

Accommodation is arranged in a rustic Robinson Crusoe Style Reeded Beach Camp on the beach. The simple beauty allows you to re-connect with the earth and become totally at peace. All the rooms are adjacent to each other and are arranged in a square around a central fireplace and communal area.

The rustic setting and design of this camp on the edge of the warm Indian Ocean has not been described as luxurious, rather its simplicity allows one to sink into community consciousness almost instantaneously on arrival.

All rooms have linen and pillows and is arranged in twin or double rooms. Accommodation is usually in a sharing fashion unless we have spare rooms available on offer for single occupancy. There are NO en-suite rooms and bathrooms are a sharing facility approximately 20m from all the rooms.

Meals are served in the restaurant facility approximately 50m from our accommodation. A scrumptious brunch is served daily until 11h00 and a delicious 3-course dinner around 19h00. We cater for all dietary requirements, including vegans. A set menu is served according to your dietary requirement. Lunch is not included, however, there is a fridge & kitchenette should you wish to bring some snacks with you.
